So, we’ve said let us take the strain.  What are the services we actually provide that will make your life a little bit easier?  Below is a summary of some of the tasks we can do for you.  We can do as much or as little as you like and you can choose how often you want each task done – weekly, fortnightly, monthly or even annually!  

There is no set package of services – you can “pick and mix”.  The list is not exhaustive, rather its designed to give you an idea of what we can do.  If you would like us to perform a task not mentioned below, please give us a call and ask us.

Cleaning

Shopping

§          Either shopping for you, or accompanying you so you can choose

         but let someone else carry the bags!

§          Weekly supermarket shop or a one-off trip further a field to buy

         a special item

Laundry

§          Washing & drying

§          Ironing

§          Changing bed linen

Cooking

§          Regular preparation and cooking of meals (of your choice)

§          One-off items, eg a naughty-but-nice cake if you’ve got a

         special visitor coming to tea.

Decorating

§          Painting and wallpapering

§          Glosswork – inside or outside

Gardening

§          Lawn cutting

§          Weeding

§          Hedge cutting

§          Pruning

§          Autumn tidying, eg leaf clearing

Basic Maintenance & Repairs

§          Cleaning exterior windows, incl frames

§          Putting up shelves, pictures etc

Accompanying to Appointments

§          Lifts to doctors, dentists etc

Form Filling

§          If arthritis makes this a painful exercise, you tell us what to

         write and we’ll fill in the forms for you.

Advocacy

§          Eg, making phone calls, writing letters on your behalf (but

         never without your permission!)

Companionship

§          Just spending time with you having a cuppa and a chat.

§          Sorting through old photographs and putting into albums.

§          Helping you write up your memoirs.

Spiritual

§          Praying for you

§          Bible Studies

What We Don’t Do

At present we don’t have staff qualified to provide personal care, eg washing and dressing, or to administer medication.
